Mum Sales Are Back—Just in Time for Band Senior Night! On November 7,all band and Color Guard Senior Moms will want their Mini Mom Mums to wear while escorting their senior onto the field. It’s a sweet tradition and a moment you won’t want to miss! Mum sales open Monday on BoosterHub!

Instrument Usage Fees- A message from Mr. Guzman

Dear JET Band Families,

This is a friendly reminder to please check your email to see if you received a message from me about the Katy ISD Instrument Usage Fee. I sent reminders on September 4 and September 24, 2025, and I plan to send another follow-up next week for any students who still have a balance due.

• The fee is $100 per school-owned instrument.
• Students using two school-owned instruments (for example, marching + concert Bass Clarinet, French Horn, Euphonium, or Tuba) owe $200 total for the year.

Please note: this fee does not automatically appear in your Pay N’ Go account. It isn’t assigned to individual students, but we do keep track of who uses a school-owned instrument. You’ll need to manually submit payment using the link below:

If you’re not sure whether your student owes this fee, or if you believe you’ve already paid, feel free to email me at patrickaguzman@katyisd.org, and I’ll be happy to double-check for you.

We kindly ask that this be taken care of as soon as possible to avoid issues later in the semester, especially when exam exemptions are reviewed in December.

Friday. Oct 10 Rehearsal starts at 1 PM!

Reminder, we have a rehearsal at Legacy Stadium on Monday Morning from 8-11 AM! This is an important rehearsal with our Show Designer! Please arrive early so your student is ready to perform at 8!

Dear Color Guard Families,

As we near the end of the marching season, we want to remind everyone that all past due balances must be paid in full by October 15.

🚫 Important Note for Winter Guard Hopefuls: Students with outstanding balances will be ineligible to earn a show spot in Winter Guard.

📅 Tryouts Are Coming Up! Mark your calendars for November 10, 11, and 12—these dates will determine placement on our Varsity and JV teams. To be considered eligible for a show spot, accounts must be current.

Winter Guard payments will begin in December, and we must remain on top of these deadlines. These funds directly cover costumes, event fees, staff, and other expenses necessary to provide the best possible experience for our students. If you have any questions about your balance or need assistance, please contact us as soon as possible so that arrangements can be made.
