The JET Marching Band and Color Guard presents the 2016 March-a-thon:  A fund-raising event benefitting the James E. Taylor High School Band (a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization).

  • When: Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 8am - 4pm

  • Where: The neighborhoods surrounding James E. Taylor High School. Click here for the March-a-thon map.

  • Students: All money raised will be tracked for chances at new and increased prizes such as a Go Pro camera and 500.00 Wal-Mart Gift Card

    You can ask neighbors, friends, relatives, or anyone else that might want to sponsor our event. You can also raise money by selling mini-concerts or finding corporate sponsors.

  • Alumni: Join the alumni party for March-A-Thon! Contact Jack Travis at alumni@jetband.org for more information.

  • Sponsorship: For those wishing to donate to the JET Band, we offer individual and corporate sponsorships. See the Sponsorship section below for more info.

  • Mini-concerts: Individuals or families can request a two song mini-concert for $200 at a house along the route or $150 at a community stop. See the list of songs in the next section below. The list of community stops are:

    1. Taylor High School - Kingsland and Dominion
    2. Randall's Parking Lot - N. Fry and Britannia
    3. The park at the corner of Crescent Green & S. Greenhouse
    4. Wal-Mart – 20903 Highland Knolls no concerts at Hayes (or MPJH)
    5. Epiphany Catholic Church - Northside back parking lot on Norwalk

    The options for purchasing a mini-concert (or just making a simple donation) are listed below. Regardless of the option chosen, please (1) download and fill out the mini-concert section on page 2 of the Individual Sponsor form; (2) submit the form to Holly Meredith or scan and email to marchathon@jetband.org.

    (a) To purchase a mini-concert by paypal, use the link below (use the drop down box to select the type of concert):

    (b) To purchase a mini-concert by cash or check, download and fill out the mini-concert section on page 2 and turn into Holly Meredith (marchathon@jetband.org).

    (c) Individual donations can be made using the link below; there is no minimum required; all amounts are welcome!

  • Volunteers: We need volunteers to help with all aspects of this year's March-a-Thon, including: placing yard signs along the parade route (and picking them up afterward), walking with the band as a chaperone, setting up and serving at the water stops, serving lunch to the kids, and Team Febreze. Sponsorship:

Individual: Parents, grandparents, or any individual JET Band supporters can purchase one of four packages, and the student selling it will be credited with the fundraising. Options include buying a mini-concert, adopting a water stop (the water stops are listed in the section below), a new Spirit Package, and the Proud Parent Sponsor.

Corporate: This year we are asking for your help to find corporate sponsors. If you have contacts in the community, please pass along the information and feel free to contact Marion Harris at sponsors@jetband.org with any questions. Each student who brings a corporate sponsor donation of $250.00 or more will be entered into a special prize drawing.

Water Stops:

In order to ensure that the students participating in the March-a-thon are safe and properly hydrated, they will stop periodically for water. These water stops are available for adoption for $250 (see the Sponsorships section), which includes a mini-concert of two songs of your choosing. The water stops are:
